Hireventra — executive search
For executives

Approached by us? Here is exactly how we work.

Most of the executives we appoint were not in a process and had no intention of moving. That only works if the first conversation is straight, confidential and worth your time.

01

Your interest stays confidential

We do not circulate your CV, share your name outside the mandate, or disclose your interest to a client before you agree to it.

02

You get the truth about the role

The context, the risks, the board dynamics and the timeline — before you invest time, not after you have joined.

03

You are assessed against a written profile

The same criteria the board agreed, so feedback is specific and comparable rather than a subjective impression.

04

We stay in touch honestly

If there is no mandate for you now, we say so. We do not manufacture processes to keep a relationship warm.

Verification

Checking we are who we say we are.

If you have been contacted and want to confirm the approach is genuine, write to us directly and a partner will confirm the mandate reference. We never ask for payment, bank details or identity documents at approach stage.

What does retained search mean in practice?

You engage us exclusively for a defined appointment. We are paid for the work of research, approach and assessment rather than for a successful introduction, which is what allows us to cover a market systematically instead of submitting whoever is available today.

How are fees structured?

A fixed fee agreed at the outset, tied to the scope of the mandate and invoiced in stages across the search. There is no contingency element and no ambiguity about what triggers payment.

How long does a search take?

Most mandates reach a shortlist in six to eight weeks and an accepted offer in ten to fourteen, depending on notice periods, board calendars and the depth of the accessible market.

Can you run a search without it becoming public?

Yes. Confidential mandates are standard for us: approaches are made under partner cover, the client is disclosed only at an agreed stage, and no role is advertised.

Do you assess internal candidates too?

Frequently. Internal candidates are assessed against the same agreed profile and the same written standard, so the board can compare like with like.

Do you work with executives who are not currently in a process?

That is the majority of the people we appoint. Most of our conversations begin with an executive who was not looking and had no intention of moving.

Introduce yourself in confidence.

We keep a small, actively maintained view of the leadership markets we cover. If your background is relevant to a live or likely mandate, a partner will come back to you.
